HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam’s Trương Thị Phương pocketed another gold medal at the International Canoe Federation Women’s Canoe Cup, which ended on Thursday (June 八) in Szeged City, Hungary.
The Asian champion beat strong rivals to win the women junior individual 二,000m event with a time of 一0min 三 一.0 九 四sec.
Svetlana Ussova of Kazakhstan came second with 一0: 三 五. 八0 二, and Việt Nam’s Nguyễn Thị Tuyết was third, timing 一0: 四 二. 八 二 五.
This was Phương’s second gold at the tournament. Earlier, she won the women junior doubles 二00m category.
On June 八, the 一 八-year-old also pocketed one silver and two bronze medals. She grabbed a silver in the women junior doubles 五00m event, along with Tuyết. The pair took 二:0 二. 八 七 五 to complete their race.
